Azalea is trapped. Just when she should feel that everything is before her . . . beautiful gowns, dashing suitors, balls filled with dancing . . . it's taken away. All of it.
The Keeper understands. He's trapped, too, held for centuries within the walls of the palace. And so he extends an invitation.
Every night, Azalea and her eleven sisters may step through the enchanted passage in their room to dance in his silver forest.
But there is a cost.
The Keeper likes to keep things.
Azalea may not realize how tangled she is in his web until it is too late. (summary from goodreads)
Does anyone remember the fairytale, The Twelve Dancing Princesses? Growing up, it was one of my favorites.
I can remember when Nickolodeon would have a cartoon fairytale show on everyday at 12:00 when I was a kid and I would stop whatever I was doing to watch it. The Twelve Dancing Princesses was one of the fairytales on that show.
So I'm sure you can imagine how excited I was when I found out about Entwined by: Heather Dixon which is a re-imagining of that fairytale.
I'll DEFINITELY be buying this book! You guys should check it out!
Cheers!
Thanks for turning us onto this book. The darker the fairytale the more I like it.
