Don't Be A One Book Wonder...

Hello, readers! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Today's post is going to be about one book wonders. They are a lot like one hit wonders in the music industry but
in a literary way.

Sometimes you hear about it, the dreaded one book wonder. The author puts out a fantastic novel, then that's the only book they ever come out with. In my opinion, that's a big no-no.

When I take on writer's, I be sure to look for someone who is a versatile writer--a writer who is capable of writing several different books--preferably in several different genres.

Why?

If you want to have a long, lucrative writing career it's must. When your first novel is put out, yes, you'll gain a following and it's important that you keep that following. If they love the first book you write, they are going to want to read more of your writing.

I feel, that's it's important to stay connected to your readers. And if you put out one book and one book only, I feel like eventually you'll lose them.

Personally, I have written at least nine novels. Four that are completed and the rest that I'm working on.

Why?

Because I get a zillion ideas every day. And I think it's important to harness those ideas. Hey, you never know who might be reading them in the future.

Keep writing! I know most of you have tons of ideas for great books in your brains!
