Some Major News To Share!

Thursday, March 8, 2012
Hi Readers!!!

So I feel like it's been forever and a day since I've written a post, but things have been a lil insane on my end and I'm so excited to be getting back to blogging.

First things first...

I have some exciting news! Some of my books have been picked up by a publisher. Curiosity Quills Press will be releasing, Infect Me, Yelling Out Loud(A Whisper To A Scream 2.), and No Rest For The Wicked.

They will also be re-releasing Asphodel. So I'll be taking the version that's currently up down in the next week. If you read the old version and didn't like it you might like the new one because there is going to be some rewriting done.

In the next couple weeks I will also be taking Famished down and rewriting that one as well. It will be put back up some time in May when the sequel Wasted will be released.

The point of taking down Famished is...well, that was the first book I'd written before I really, really found myself as a writer. I know there are ways I can make it better and would like to be able to do so.

Honestly, I think every writer has to write several books before they really know who they are. Before they really find their voice and I'm happy that I finally found mine(Even though it took me about five books to find it,lol.)

On another note, I have two more romance novels I'm going to be releasing on my own in the next two months. 12 Rounds is my first adult romance and I'm super excited about that! The next one is called Straightjacket. You know me, I like to walk on the dark side, lol.

I hope all of you are doing well and keeping busy. What are some of the writing projects you've been working on lately?

Or how are you doing in general?

Have a great day!

Cheers!

    That wonderful news! :)

I admit to having slacked off for a couple of weeks. Instead of been reading. I had been working on an idea for a story in a world I'd already developed. I *intend* to get back to it soon.

  1. Congrats, Lauren! It's very courageous of you to be willing to take down your books and rework them when you're unhappy with some aspect of them. Looking forward to all of your new releases.

  1. Wow! Congratulations! That's wonderful news. I've been really lazy on the writing front, though I'm starting to slowly get back into things with some edits of previous works. Hope you'll be celebrating :-)

  1. Congratulations on all your success!! That's fantastic!

  1. Wonderful news! I bet every author would like to revisit their previous works. But I loved those books just the way they were and will re-read the new versions.

  1. I'm working on those evil synopsises while I wait for my agent to send notes on my MG manuscript. Have I told you lately I hate writing them? *grins* Oh, and there's that little contest I'm hosting on my blog. :D

  1. Yay, Lauren! You amaze me!

  1. First of all, awesome news!! Yay for you!
Lauren, I tagged you in the Lucky 7 Meme. This one is actually fun. You get to share 7 lines from your current WIP, and with the way you write, I'm sure you have 7! http://1fantasyfairy.blogspot.com/2012/03/i-was-tagged-by-kelly-hashway-for-lucky.html

  1. Congrats, that's awesome!

  1. Hi, sorry to bother but now that you're taking down Famished to basically beef it up is there a chance for another book? I'm dying cause of the hanger and really would like to continue on. Unless there already is a book at which point I need to get stronger glasses as I can't find it.

LOL. You're not bothering me. Famished is a series and I will be putting the first completely rewritten first book back up when, Wasted (the second book) is released in July.
